Discover World Heritage listed natural Australian wonders on Hinchinbrook Island and in near by National Parks. There are a large number of walking trails available that are easily accessible from Port Hinchinbrook. For 'self-exploration' or Guided Tours contact us for more information.

Snorkel or Scuba Dive the Great Barrier Reef, Brooke Islands. Available as a Day Tour, which includes the morning at Hinchinbrook Island Wilderness Lodge all instruction is by Calypso Dive - a 5 Star PADI Dive Centre. 'Learn to snorkel and dive' instruction is included. Experienced Divers wont be disappointed and should enquire about Outer Reef and Wreck dive options.

Hinchinbrook region is renowned as one of the very best fishing spots in Australia.

Great opportunities await you as choices include sports fishing, Reef fishing and even Game Fishing. There are many great spots where it is possible to catch the 'Big One' from Barra to Black Marlin. Ask us for details on fishing charters available.

Today you can enjoy the picturesque Cardwell Country Club 9 hole golf course, conveniently located less than 2km from Port Hinchinbrook. All our in-house guests benefit from our Corporate Membership and Golf buggies are available on request at a reasonable rate. Port Hinchinbrook does have plans ready for building its own on-site 18 hole golf course in Stage II of the Port Hinchinbrook Development which is scheduled to be approved by Government in 2009.

Hire a golf buggy from the Port Hinchinbrook reception desk - from only A$50 per day. Golf buggies are the ideal mode of transport for getting about within the Port Hinchinbrook precinct. Golf buggy parking has been specially designed for the Lake Vue Cabins with parking available alongside each Cabin.

Set in a lush tropical jungle complete with its own waterfall the Port Hinchnbrook swimming pool is ideal for a few cool laps or for a quick dip between reading and relaxing on a deck chair.

Enjoy a friendly game on this Olympic standard flood-lite court. Rackets and balls are available from reception.
